System Requirements and Flexibility
Each file is delivered in standard Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format, adhering fully to universal XML document protocols.- Microsoft Ecosystem
Fully optimised for Excel versions 2007 right through to 2024 across Windows, Mac, and mobile devices. - Open-Source and Free Platforms
Enjoy flawless cross-compatibility with alternative suites without formatting errors. If you don't have Microsoft Excel installed, use Microsoft 365 (formerly Office Online) or one of the Microsoft Office alternatives FreeOffice PlanMaker, LibreOffice Calc, Google Sheets and others, which are all free of charge (OpenOffice Calc unfortunately has formatting problems when opening our calendars). - Older Software Versions
If you are running legacy packages (such as Excel 2000, XP, or 2003), the templates can be easily converted via a file converter or accessed via browser-based office tools.
How to open and print these templates in Google Sheets
Download the .xlsx file first. Then either drag it into Google Drive, right-click it and choose Open with → Google Sheets, or open Sheets and go to File → Open → Upload. The template keeps its layout and colours, and you can type into the day cells and change the fill colours exactly as you would in Excel. To print from Sheets, go to File → Print, set the orientation to landscape or portrait to match the template you chose, and set Scale to "Fit to page" so the template doesn't spill onto a second sheet. Set Margins to Narrow if you want the grid to fill more of the paper. Because the file sits in Drive, you can share it with a team or a family and everyone works on the same template.
